About the Event
Join AARP Kentucky and the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum for a five-part series of virtual concerts featuring the music and instruments of bluegrass!
The 9/12 Bluegrass Music Kick-Off Concert features the Owensboro Bluegrass Band, AKA the staff of the hall of fame and museum, and the youth band "The Blue Bridge Boys."
The 9/19 Fiddlin Frenzy with Randy Lanham will explore the roots of fiddling and its place in bluegrass as well as offer up great music.
On 9/26, in Mandolin Mania with Scott Napier, learn about the mandolin and how “Father of Bluegrass Music” Bill Monroe changed the way it’s played.
The 10/3 concert, Guitar Get Down with Rick Faris, features the lead singer and guitar player of the Rick Faris Band.
The final concert on 10/10 - Banjo Breakdown with Chris Joslin - will explore different styles of banjo playing and present some lively examples.
