Try Traditional Indian Cooking with demonstrations of Gujarati Tadka Dal (sweet & savory lentils), Roti, Cucumber Raita and an Indian Milk Cake.
About the Event
The main components of Indian meals are a dal (lentil soup); a shaak, or curry (vegetable); rice; and flat bread. Raita (yogurt dip), kachumber salad and papad (lentil crisp) may be added as side dishes depending on what is being served.
Indian desserts or mithai (sweets) are popular all over the world and are served at all celebrations and as a prasad, or daily offering.
