Tell your story of service and submit it to the Library of Congress Veterans History Project for archiving and preservation.
About this Event
The Veterans History Project at the Library of Congress collects, preserves and makes accessible the firsthand recollections of U.S. military veterans who served from World War I through more recent conflicts and peacekeeping missions, so that future generations may hear directly from veterans and better understand what they saw, did and felt during their service.
Join AARP and Andrew Huber of the Library of Congress for a workshop on how to create oral histories of veterans and submit them to the Library of Congress Veterans History Project for archiving and preservation. As November is Native American Heritage Month, Huber will discuss the Library's interest in growing collections from underrepresented veterans such as Native Americans, Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, and women of color.
