Join the first in a four-part series of an AARP webinars entitled, Embracing Caregiving: A Journey for the Body on Tuesday, Nov. 12 at 4pm ET.
About the Event
As we journey through life, we inevitably encounter transitions. Some transitions may challenge our sense of identity and independence. One of the most difficult, yet deeply human, transitions is the acceptance of caregiving. Whether you already rely on assistance for daily living or foresee this need in the future, preparing for the dance between independence, dependence, and ultimately interdependence can be an empowering step toward personal growth.
This first session, The Journey for the Body, will help participants:
- Anticipate physical challenges that may cause a need for assistance
- Learn what it means to “sage” as we age
- Identify barriers to accepting help and ways to move past them
- Ponder what life still holds to look forward to, to fear and to be curious about
Each workshop will include breakout sessions for small group sharing.
Upcoming sessions:
11/19: The Journey for the Mind
11/26: The Journey for the Heart
12/03: The Journey for the Spirit
