We’ll revisit 1775, when every single person in Connecticut was choosing a side.
About the Event
As the 13 colonies launched a rebellion against British rule, loyalty to Britain or to the colonies was not only a matter of words or opinion. For soldiers and civilians alike, loyalty could result in loss of fortune, of friends, even of life.
This “Webinar Wednesday” presentation, Tories, Traitors, & Spies: Divided Loyalty in Revolutionary Connecticut, reveals the stories — some well-known, some obscure — of Nutmeggers who sacrificed and risked all to support their chosen side.
