The third workshop in our series on accepting care will explore ways to overcome emotional resistance to asking for help.
About the Event
As we journey through life, we inevitably encounter transitions that challenge our sense of identity and independence. One of the most difficult is the acceptance of caregiving. Whether you already rely on assistance for daily living or foresee this need in the future, preparing for the dance between independence, dependence and interdependence can be an empowering step toward personal growth.
This third session in our four-part series on accepting caregiving will help participants examine the emotional challenges of asking for help. You’ll be invited to:
- Consider your relationships to solitude and to community
- Identify your social and support networks
- Practice gratitude and explore the need for forgiveness of self and others
- Ponder the legacy you hope to leave
Each workshop will include breakout sessions for small group sharing.
