To celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, we’re kicking off a series on Latin cuisine.
About the Event
Our virtual culinary series combines cooking and history for delectable bites. During each cooking demonstration, watch as our chef prepares a Latin American dish and shares history about its ingredients. This month, learn how to make Salsa Macha and discover the Afro-Latino influence in Mexican cuisine.
Chef and historian Maite Gomez-Rejon will lead the class, and participants will have an opportunity to ask questions throughout the event. Upcoming classes in the series:
- 10/3 - Learn how to make vanilla extract and vanilla gelatin.
- 11/14 - Learn how to make Pastel de Elote/Sweet Corn Cake.
