About the Event
An abundant body of research has determined that we all need two kinds of connections in our lives: social and intimate. Both are vitally important for our psychological and physical well-being; social connections, for example, promote good health, combat loneliness and provide us with greater resilience to weather difficult times. Healthy and nurturing relationships increase the likelihood of survival by 50 percent regardless of age, sex, or health status.
Professor and author Catherine Sanderson will unpack what is known about these two types of relationships in detail, emphasizing insights and solid practical advice for both men and women age 50+.
