This session in our virtual brain health series features protective lifestyle habits.
About the Event
AARP Virginia, along with the Alzheimer's Association of Southeastern Virginia Chapter, presents Brain Bites, a four-part series focused on Alzheimer’s awareness and brain health.
Do you think you’re too old to grow additional brain cells? Think again! This session exploring “six pillars” of brain health will examine how to protect your brain and improve the quality of your life at any age. Attendees will learn about the pillars - lifestyle habits - that support brain health, from getting high-quality sleep and managing stress to following a healthy diet, and share information about what they are doing to help keep their brains healthy.
The Six Pillars presentation is based on current brain research vetted by the Global Council on Brain Health and the AARP Staying Sharp program.
Other sessions in the series:
6/6 – Healthy Living for Brain and Body
6/20 – Understanding the Caregiver Process for Families Dealing with Alzheimer’s
