The fourth session in our series of virtual tai chi classes based on the movements of five animals will focus on movements of the bear and crane.
About the Event
Our five-part virtual tai chi series, taught by Tai Chi Ray, shares the core principles of tai chi and fundamental tai chi movements based on those of five animals: the tiger, deer, monkey, bear and crane. Each animal has two postures and forms and represents one or more parts of the five elements in traditional Chinese medicine.
This session will guide you in Five Animal Play: Bear & Crane. Bear represents earth, spleen, stomach, mouth, flesh, longing and late summer. Crane represents metal, lungs, large intestine, nose, skin, sadness and autumn. Please consult your physician before beginning any new exercise regimen.
