Description
You may think you know well-loved author Louisa May Alcott, but do you know how close she was with her youngest sister May? Or that May was an artist on the brink of becoming well known when she died tragically young? Through letters and journal entries, learn about this sisterly relationship and how their progressive upbringing shaped them and impacted the world.
Presenters
Amy Cole has been a longtime interpretive guide, working for major historical landmarks, including The Richard H. Driehaus Museum and Glessner House in Chicago. Currently, she is an interpretive guide with the Concord Visitor Center, where she has led, developed, and researched content for the various historical walking tours offered, including the history of the indigenous people of Concord.
Stefanie Cloutier is an interpretive guide with the Concord Visitor Center, using her performing skills to bring history to life for school groups and individuals. She and Amy have developed a living history piece that showcases the relationship between Louisa May and May Alcott, Between Us Sisters, which they perform for groups in the Greater Boston area.
