It’s Arthritis Awareness Month, and this session of our virtual “Boost Your Brain and Body” series will explore the practice of tai chi for joint pain.
About the Event
Our virtual “Boost Your Brain and Body” series, presented by Body & Brain Yoga and Health Centers Inc., explores how what’s good for the body is also good for the brain. Did you know that regular exercise and meditation techniques can lead to sharper thinking and reduce the risk of cognitive decline?
In recognition of Arthritis Awareness Month, this session will focus on Tai Chi for Joint Pain. We’ll explore how the gentle, flowing movements of this ancient practice can help ease the discomfort of people with arthritis. Please consult your physician before beginning any new exercise regimen.
Upcoming sessions in the series:
- 6/19: Practices for Successful Aging
- 7/10: Breathing & Energy Meditation for Self-Care
- 8/28: 5 Exercises for Boosting Immunity
- 9/25: Balance & Strength for Seniors
