This presentation will highlight cases of innocent people being freed from prison and how past successes require more thoughtful future work.
About the Event
While it may be tempting to comfort ourselves with the successes of the Forensic Justice Project and the Idaho Innocence Project at Boise State University, wrongful convictions are not going away. Preventing these tragedies can only be accomplished by continually challenging our methods and beliefs.
Hear about the successes of these projects, and why wrongful convictions in the legal system are often caused by wrongful convictions in our own minds. The focus will be on how we can all apply critical thinking to avoid, expose and prevent irrational convictions.
