Hear the story of Louisa May Alcott and her sister, who influenced her deeply.
About the Event
You may think you’re familiar with well-loved author Louisa May Alcott, but did you know how close she was with her youngest sister, May? Or that May was an artist on the brink of becoming well-known when she died tragically young?
Through letters and journal entries, this virtual event will illuminate the sisterly relationship and how the Alcotts’ progressive upbringing shaped them and impacted the world.
The presenters are Amy Cole and Stefanie Cloutier, interpretive guides with the Concord Visitor Center. Their living history piece “Between Us Sisters” showcases the relationship.
