Eating meals together means better relationships, healthier food choices, and money saved, but preparing meals during the busy week can be a challenge. Wondering how to simplify meal prep but also produce healthy dishes that are delicious and exciting, using simple ingredients? Join AARP New York to experiment with healthy big-batch cooking.
In the final session of the series, we’ll share easy ways to prepare meals using oats as your base ingredient, preparing and freezing them to take in different directions. Learn several different ways to prepare overnight oats, from a coffee & walnut mixture to an “apple pie” treat. We’ll also highlight the possibilities of a fix-it-yourself oatmeal bar, with toppings ranging from dried fruit to caramelized onions.
