About Us :

The Community Library, which serves the residents of the Cobleskill-Richmondville School District, was founded originally in 1926 as the Cobleskill Public Library. It contains 22,000 volumes, has borrowing privileges with public libraries in eight counties, and is a member of the Mohawk Valley Library System. It has an extensive local history collection, and offers free public access to the Internet for its patrons.

The Community Library participates in competitive grants, and offers funded programs and services that are available to help meet the informational and recreational needs of its patrons. We are designated by New York State as an Electronic Doorway Library.
