About Us:

Ted Watkins Memorial Park is a monumental piece of history. This 28-acre facility was named after the founder of the Watts Labor Community Action Committee (WLCAC) in 1995. The park is home to Team Ridley-Thomas Youth Club which provides after school recreational activities for youth. Ted Watkins Memorial Park is also home to the Promenade of Prominence Walk of Fame celebrating the accomplishments of community leaders. Activities such as baseball, flag football, basketball and soccer are offered year-round. The park also features a swimming pool, skate park, walking path, fitness zones and Farmer’s Market.
