About Us:

SummerStar Theatre, founded in 1999, produces a summer season including family entertainment and the best in contemporary comedy and drama. Our goals are to cultivate a general audience; provide a home for local talent and create a theatre noted for professionalism, excellence and integrity. As the best summer theatre in the area we enrich the cultural climate of the Mid Hudson Valley by doing plays and musicals that challenge ourselves and our audience. We do shows that other theatres don't do-and do them better.

We are a non profit community organization in residence at Orange County Community College in Middletown, NY. The intimate Orange Hall Theatre is our home for rehearsals and performances. The theatre is one of the best equipped performance spaces in the area; is fully air conditioned and ADA compliant, with excellent rehearsal facilities. The Suny Orange campus is conveniently located for all residents of the Mid Hudson Valley.
