Portland Golf Course West

Portland West Golf Course was built in the early 1980’s and opened in 1985.  Al Zikorus designed the course and was a consultant during the construction process.  The golf course is unique in the way that all the ponds and water ways were man made.  The grounds are a sanctuary for water foul as well as deer, fox, and many other animals.  There are no homes surrounding the golf course which gives the feeling of pure serenity to those who play there.  The golf course is owned by Kevin and Shawn Kelley.  The Kelley brothers both attended the University of Massachusetts in Amherst.  The Kelley’s are not only owners, but are hands on superintendents, overseeing and maintaining the course on a daily basis.  The Pro Shop is managed by Gerry D’Amora, who is a class A PGA professional, who has been with the course for 26 years.
