History

Built in 1993, the 4,000 sq. ft. facility offers light, sunny comfort for all library needs. It's a member of the Colorado Library Association and the Weld Library District, a consortium of the public libraries in Weld County, Colorado. The library offers a full online library catalog database to the district and has resources to locate materials not available. Platteville's library acquires all the popular bestsellers, has a large western collection and offers a very extensive collection of mysteries, both popular and classic. It boasts an impressive offering of audio books and also offers children's educational videos, classic and popular releases. It also has one of the more complete collections of regional and local history. You'll find the staff knowledgeable, courteous and very friendly. It's a place for all residents to gather, relax and learn.
