About The Museum :

The Oktibbeha County Heritage Museum was established in 1976 to celebrate our nation's 200th birthday. In a join effort, it was a "labor of love" for many groups and individuals. Housed in the 1874 Mobile and Ohio Railroad depot the original flooring and outside walls were retained, and the interior of the museum was modernized. The building is owned by the City of Starkville. A Board of Trustees meets monthly to conduct museum business.
