AARP Hearing Center
History:
The existence of the library came to be through the generous gift of the F.M. Kirby Foundation. The library building was a gift to the community and did not increase or use any local tax dollars for construction. The library is a living memorial to Marian Sutherland Kirby, given to the Mountaintop community by her children.
Construction of the library was completed in 1985. The F.M. Kirby Foundation donated the funds necessary for the purchase of land, architectural fees, building construction, furnishings, and landscaping of the property which totaled approximately 1.8 million dollars.
