Lundin’s Tree Farm is a family run farm located on State Rt. 7, 1.5 miles east of the village of Otego. The farm is located in between State Rt. 7 and the Susquehanna River, with the land gently sloping from the road down to the river. The farm is a “choose and harvest” facility that offers full service for the customer. In 1984, the first Douglas Fir and Colorado Blue Spruce were planted. In 1987, annual plantings started. All the planting is done by hand, leaving the farm with a mix of young and mature trees. The tree species planted has evolved to mainly Balsam Fir and Fraser Fir; Colorado Blue Spruce, Concolor Fir, and Canaan Fir are also available.
The early years were spent clearing land, planting, and shearing trees. Things have not changed much. The shearing is still done by hand during the summer months. Sales had a humble start in 1991 but have progressed to the point where we sell all available trees in a 2 week period in December. We have saws available and we provide cutting services. Trees are transported from the field on wagons or ATVs. We shake and bail all trees. We will assist with loading your tree on your vehicle. We pride ourselves on being a full service choose and harvest farm. Please stop in and say Hello. We look forward to seeing you.
