Family owned and operated, Phil Maddux, owner, winemaker, and the "Lone Buffalo's" inspiration, has been an award winning home winemaker for over 40+ years.

Visit our new tasting room and winery facility in North Auburn right in the middle of the The Placer County Wine Trail . Enjoy a picnic al fresco with beautiful views of the countryside and newly planted vineyards or saddle up to the tasting bar in our rustic but well appointed tasting room.

At Lone Buffalo, we emphasize food-friendly, Rhône-style estate produced wines with a twist of cowboy and old west philosophy -- let nature do the work and be a good and careful caretaker. 

LBV wines are available for tasting and purchase at the winery and at many Placer County and Lake Tahoe retail outlets and restaurants.
