Mission:

Our mission is to provide information resources to entertain, educate, enrich, and empower our patrons and our community.

About Us:

The Jacksonville Public Library, a Carnegie Library, was constructed in 1903 in the Beaux Arts style, popular at the time. In 1996, the building was renovated and enlarged. A new parking lot was added to the west side in 2009.

The Jacksonville Public Library offers a large selection of titles in a variety of formats including digital, large print, and audio. The youth services include activities, crafts, events and a summer reading program for all ages. JPL is a great place to learn and study, and is a integral part of the community.
