The Good Samaritan Clinic is an interdenominational Christian ministry that provides free primary health care, medication, health information and spiritual support  to people of every race, creed and gender who are indigent and do not have health insurance.  Since opening in 1999 the clinic has served thousands of patients who have no other option for life sustaining, non-emergency medical care.

Good Samaritan serves patients who reside in Tuscaloosa, Greene, Hale, Bibb, Pickens, Sumter, and Fayette counties. Often referred to as, “the working poor”, many of the clinic’s patients are employed full or part-time and do not receive health insurance through their employment, but are unable to afford to purchase it.

The clinic is a 501 (C) private nonprofit agency and receives no government support. We are  funded by United Way and donations from churches, individuals, foundations and corporations. Care is provided by a volunteer staff of medical and administrative professionals who feel called to answer God’s command to care for the poor and sick.
