Cassadaga Branch Library

The Cassadaga Branch Library was begun as a project of the Cassadaga Ladies' Chorus in 1946. The first library was set up in a room in the Cassadaga Grade School and was first registered as a branch library in 1949. This library had to be a branch, as the village of Cassadaga is located within the Town of Stockton, which already had the Mary E. Seymour Memorial Free Library. Therefore, the two libraries operate under one Board of Directors.

The Cassadaga Branch was moved to the new elementary school in 1959, and moved again to a small building on South Main Street in 1982. Through the efforts of many dedicated volunteers who raised the necessary funds, a new Cassadaga Branch Library was built in 1993 at 18 Maple Avenue, Cassadaga.

This branch library offers a varied selection of books, magazines, books-on-tape, DVDs and videos. In addition, library patrons are offered the use of six computer terminals for word processing and Internet access. Many reference programs and children's games are also available.
