About:
The Alva de Mars Megan Chapel Art Center at Saint Anselm College is dedicated to the acquisition, conservation, and exhibition of fine art, as a wholly unique place of learning. Founded in 1967, this facility provides a gracious setting for special exhibitions and houses a small permanent collection. As a center for the promotion of the fine arts for the Saint Anselm campus and the community at large, the Chapel Art Center hosts a variety of lectures, tours, concerts, readings, and recitals in conjunction with its exhibition series.
Mission Statement:
In keeping with the College's Catholic and Benedictine mission to educate students in the liberal arts, the Alva de Mars Megan Chapel Art Center seeks to cultivate the intelligence of both the heart and the mind. Through its exhibitions and programming, the Chapel Art Center is motivated by an awareness that beauty speaks to intelligence, and that art teaches as it elevates the human mind and spirit toward poetic truth.
