Webinar Helps Protect Smart Devices From Hacking

Posted on 03/31/21 by The AARP Bulletin

Online scammers are looking for ways to prey on people by hacking their digital devices. At an AARP Alaska Fraud Watchdogs presentation, Teresa Holt, state director, will provide insights into how people can avoid becoming victims.

The webinar, at 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 22, will cover how smart devices—from security cameras to printers to smart TVs—can put people at risk and offer tips on protecting personal information. Register for the webinar at aarp.cvent.com/FWDAPR2021.

The Fraud Watchdogs presentation will be available later on AARP Alaska’s YouTube page.
