Senior Planet from AARP at the Mirowitz Center

The Mirowitz Center is partnering with Senior Planet from AARP to help older adults use technology to learn new skills, save money, get in shape, and make new friends. In fact, we are the only organization licensed to teach Senior Planet from AARP technology training curriculum in St. Louis County! In addition, the Mirowitz Center offers appointments every Monday for one-on-one, personalized assistance through our popular and free “Tech Tutor” program!

In this hands-on 90-minute workshop, Mirowitz Center Trainer Daniel Landsbaum focuses specifically on the GovTrack.us website and its main features: identifying elected representatives, seeing how they vote, and learning about bills. GOOGLE MAPS: TAKE ME HOME AGAIN!

Get a close-up look at your old neighborhood and childhood home! Visit different sites around the world, or simply get directions to your next appointment. With Mirowitz Center Trainer Daniel Landsbaum, learn how to use Google Maps for satellite imagery, street maps, and street-view perspectives. Every day, more and more people “cut the cord” and cancel their cable subscriptions. Mirowitz Center Trainer Daniel Landsbaum will introduce streaming: what it is, how to watch TV without cable, and the variety of content available.
