In 2023, the Mirowitz Center became the first Senior Planet from AARP licensed facility/organization in the state of Missouri and will be the only licensee in St. Louis County creating more technology program opportunities for older adults! TECH TIPS FOR DISASTER PREPARDNESS

Did you know technology is an essential part of being prepared for emergencies and natural disasters today? In this session, Mirowitz Center Trainer Daniel Landsbaum explains and demonstrates FEMA and Red Cross apps, including setting alerts. He’ll also review how to keep phones and other essential devices charged during a prolonged power outage. Plus, learn how built-in smartphone features can come in handy, and how to use social media to receive emergency information from local and national authorities.

You’ll also learn about GoodRX, FamilyWize, and SingleCare, as well as helpful tools for understanding drug costs, comparing pharmacy prices, and finding discounts and coupons.
