Building Community Engagement: Alnory Gutlay Joins AARP Georgia
The AARP Georgia team is pleased to welcome our newest Associate State Director of Community Engagement and Outreach. Alnory Gutlay joined the team in November and brings over a decade of experience driving community engagement, health equity, and civic participation initiatives across Metro Atlanta.
Most recently, Alnory served as Community Impact Director at the American Heart Association, where she led the local implementation of the NFL PLAY 60 Collective Impact initiative. Alnory’s work focused on building trust with neighborhood partners, aligning their efforts with shared health goals, and encouraging advocacy for systems-level change. Alnory also oversaw high-visibility campaigns to promote physical activity and nutrition security, generating over 6 million impressions and earning the regional 2025 Change Agent Award for catalyzing public health impact.
Previously, Alnory held a senior leadership role at an immigrant and refugee–serving organization, overseeing community health and victim services programs. She also represented Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities in the South at national health forums, advocating for immigrant and refugee voices in public health conversations.
Alnory is a Professional Scrum Master™ II (PSM II) and an alumna of the University of Georgia. She is currently pursuing her MBA at Georgia Southern University to further strengthen her leadership and project management skills.
