Make Staying Healthy a Priority in the New Year
Miss face-to-face meetings? Coach SheriAnne Little’s Back to Basics nutrition and wellness program is beginning in-person sessions, though the free classes will continue to be available online.
The program has been offered via Facebook Live for the past two years because of the pandemic. The 30-minute sessions are held at 10 a.m. every other Tuesday starting this month.
Now, one class a month will be in person at the FitLot outdoor fitness park at Rose Mofford Sports Complex, 9833 N. 25th Ave. in Phoenix. It will still be livestreamed at facebook.com/aarparizona.
Recordings of previous sessions are also available on Facebook and at youtube.com/AARPArizona.
Little, who has taught health and wellness for 20-plus years, discusses topics such as making nutritious meals, improving balance and stability, and starting a meditation practice.
“Back to Basics is about eating right, making sure you get enough sleep and moving your body,” she says.
January’s theme is making healthy resolutions.
