Lace up your shoes and join Lehigh Valley’s group walking program!

Walking is one of the most powerful steps to live a healthier, happier life. AARP Pennsylvania is now giving you a chance to get the support you need to build a walking habit or pick up your pace. Lehigh Valley Walks is a free in-person walking program dedicated to helping you create and foster the healthy habit of walking.

If you’re new to walking for exercise, walking with others is a great way to get started and stay motivated. If you already walk regularly, you’ll discover how to take your walks to the next level to get fitter and have more energy -- all while discovering beautiful walking routes throughout the Lehigh Valley with AARP Lehigh Valley and Walking Coach Michele Stanten.

Michele Stanten is a walking coach, ACE-certified fitness instructor, co-author of The Walking Solution, and author of Walk Off Weight, Walk Your Way to Better Health, and Firm Up in 3 Weeks.

As the former fitness director for Prevention magazine, she created a marathon walking program and coached thousands of readers to walk full and half marathons nationwide. Michele is also the walking coach for the D&L Heritage Half Marathon.

The walks are designed for all levels and will accommodate different paces and distances.
