Every election season, AARP advocates for the issues that are important to Granite Staters 50-plus. Our volunteers are our boots on ground at campaign events where they ask questions and get every candidate on the record about where they stand on the issues that matter the most to our members and all people age 50-plus.

There are many different opportunities to volunteer in our voter engagement work. Get involved with the state sport of politics – learn more about the primaries, learn how AARP is involved, and learn how you can participate.

To get you started, we've put together a trio of events so you can learn more about AARP NH and how you can get involved.

We hope you'll join us at ALL these events!

Before your boots hit the ground this election season, learn what you need to know at the AARP NH Activist Academy. At this day-long event, we'll fill you in on AARP’s approach and nonpartisan commitment, interacting with the media, sharing content on social media, and an overview of the four issues AARP is focusing on. The day will also feature a panel of AARP NH volunteers who have participated in the past as well as AARP staff from campaign, government affairs, and the Public Policy Institute.
