AARP Long Island Open Call to Artists over 50, for the Art@50+ exhibit!
AARP Long Island is proud to be a partner in a collaborative exhibition with the Islip Arts Council and Islip Art Museum for an open call to artists over 50, for the Art@50+ exhibit! will be held from December 6th – January 6, 2020, at the Islip Art Museum, Brookwood Hall and surrounds the theme of “What Life on Long Island Means to Me”. A VIP reception will take place on December 6th from 6-8 PM.
This is an open call to all artists over 50 years of age, whether you are a practicing artist or just getting started. The works can be a range in style from contemporary art to abstract, multimedia, etc. Art@50+ will showcase ten winners (6-8 works chosen dependent on the size of the work). One finalist will also be featured as the “Artist of the Month” at IslipArts.org. The deadline for entries is November 1. A prospectus for this open call is available at IslipArts.org.
The exhibition is from December 6th – January 6, 2020.
