Event Details
Join AARP Long Island volunteers and members in our AARP Walk Team, for the Arthritis Foundation. The Arthritis Foundation champions life-changing healthcare solutions and medical advancements, and provide ways for people to connect, break down barriers in health care and join the fight to conquer arthritis. This non-profit organization is fighting for people of all ages, 50 and over, who live with arthritis. So volunteer to walk for the day, and be part of our AARP Long Island walk team! It’s also a great way to get out, get active, meet people and enjoy all the benefits that come from walking. You can walk your own pace and distance.
About the Event
Did you know that Arthritis is considered to be the nation’s #1 cause of disability? Arthritis affects nearly 60 million adults and hundreds of thousands of children. Meet AARP Long Island volunteers and members at this year’s May 4th Walk For A Cure by the Arthritis Foundation.
