Community Partner Spotlight! 

Prescott Meals on Wheels (MoW) is a fantastic community partner of AARP Arizona. Several times per year, AARP volunteers write notecards of support to be delivered with the meals. Some of our AARP volunteers also volunteer at Meals on Wheels.

Since March 1973, Meals on Wheels has been delivering healthy meals to homebound Prescott residents (that is over 50 years!). Operating in the same building as The Center (1280 E Rosser), meals are cooked and packaged daily for delivery and the Café on Rosser serves a delicious, nutritious, cost-effective meal five days per week from 11:15 until 12:45. Delivery drivers, cooks, greeters and Board Members are all volunteers. 200 of our fellow Prescottonians volunteer at Meals on Wheels to ensure the Café and deliveries operate daily.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic, Meals on Wheels has seen a 44% increase in need in our community. As such, MoW is ALWAYS looking for additional volunteers to drive a route, prep and cook food, serve as substitute drivers, greet diners at the Café check-in, and more!
