About the Event
Lower Gwynedd to Again Honor Veterans, in 12th Annual Veterans Day Ceremony.
Lower Gwynedd Township is pleased to announce that it will honor America’s veterans with its 12th annual ceremony, on Saturday, November 9, 2024, from 10:30 a.m. to noon. This year’s ceremony will again be held at Lower Gwynedd’s Veterans Memorial Park, at the intersection of N. Bethlehem Pike and Penllyn Pike, in Spring House.
The ceremony will take place rain or shine. In the event of rain or inclement weather, the ceremony will instead be held at the Lower Gwynedd Township Building, 1130 N. Bethlehem Pike, Spring House. Check the Township’s website, www.lowergwynedd.org on November 8 th for information on possible ceremony relocation.
The ceremony will include remarks by veterans of the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Space Force and/or Coast Guard. Patriotic musical numbers will, again, be performed by the Wissahickon Middle School Wind Ensemble and the Bethlehem Baptist Church Men’s Choir, along with the WHS Camerata. Also participating will be veterans from Ambler’s Daniel W. Dowling American Legion Post 769 and local boy scouts. Immediately following the ceremony, several local restaurants, including Arpeggio BYOB, Fireside Bar & Grille, Il Giardino Italian Cuisine, Spring House Tavern, Vic Sushi and Wawa, will provide complimentary “Taste of Lower Gwynedd” refreshments, at the nearby seven-foot-high metal “Wreath of Honor” sculpture, dedicated in 2006.
All Township residents, and neighbors from surrounding Montgomery and Bucks County municipalities, as well as all veterans and their families, are invited and encouraged to attend the ceremony. Free parking will be provided.
