Veterans Day Celebration

About the Event

The Blythewood Historical Society & Museum is celebrating the 9th Veterans Day Event with the support of the Town of Blythewood. This event brings the community together to honor and celebrate the Veterans of Blythewood, remembering those who have served our country in war and peace.

Our speaker this year is Alvin King, was the 2023 SC Veterans of the Year who happens to be from Blythewood. There will be exhibitors, patriotic music, recognition of the military branches, vintage military vehicles and motorcycles, a flag retirement, food vendors and more. Six Veterans will be honored with a Quilt of Valor, one being a 99-year-old World War II Veteran.
