Sedona Hummingbird Festival

About the Event

Located in the heart of Sedona’s red rock country, the festival features 14 different speaker presentations on various hummingbird topics, hummingbird garden tours, banding demonstrations, birding field trips, breakfasts with hummingbirds, a hummingbird marketplace filled with hummingbird-related supplies and gifts, an amazing raffle, a photo contest, a fun festival dinner, a Kids’ Day featuring crafts, activities, and live animals, and pre and post-festival workshops on hummingbird photography, painting, and human-hummingbird communication.

6:30 - 9:15am: Birding Trips - Depart SPAC parking lot

7-9pm: Returning Favorite: Hummingbird Breakfasts

7-11am: Hummingbird Banding

8:30am: Doors Open at Hummingbird Central

9:30-9:45am: Opening Remarks

9:45-10:30am: Michael and Kalthi Rock: Gardening for Hummingbirds with Salvias

11-11:45am: Becky Hardy: Monarch Butterfilies - Myths, Truths and My Obervations

11:45am-1:30pm: Lunch Break

1:30-2:15pm: Rich Armstrong: Hummingbird Adventures in the Lower 48

2:45-3:30pm: Stan Tekiela: Hummingbirds - Marvels of the Bird World

4-4:45pm: Carole Turek: Hummingbirds in Troble - Photographing Endangered Species

5pm: Raffle Winners Announced
