About the Event
The Community Gallery at the Fitchburg Art Museum is a display space for the exhibition of works of art from programs sponsored by non-profit or non-commercial schools, community organizations, and artist groups from Fitchburg, Leominster, and the larger Central Massachusetts region. FAM is dedicated to serving, enriching, and celebrating the arts, culture, and education in our local communities. The Community Gallery is supported by a generous gift from Dr. Roderick and Donna Lewin.
The Community Gallery is located on the first floor of FAM’s Harlan K. and Elsie D. Simonds Building, and includes 80 running feet of exhibition space. When necessary, Community Gallery exhibitions may extend into the Simonds Building Lobby to accommodate the display of large works of art.
Most exhibitions last for three and a half weeks. Due to the number of groups interested in exhibiting, groups are allowed to participate every other year.
We encourage interested groups to submit a proposal for an exhibition. Please review our Guidelines and fill out the Proposal Form, both of which can be found below.
