About the Event
Join curatorial fellow Madeline Murphy Turner as she examines two works on paper by Ana Mendieta, both of which are featured in the exhibition Future Minded: New Works in the Collection (March 1 - July 21, 2024). Together, we will discuss the role of water, fire, and earth in these works and in Mendieta’s broader performance practice.
Future Minded highlights a selection of works acquired in recent years that exemplify the Harvard Art Museums’ collecting vision and strategies. Nearly all are on display for the first time.
Led by:
Madeline Murphy Turner, Emily Rauh Pulitzer Curatorial Fellow in Contemporary Drawings, Division of Modern and Contemporary Art
