Join our interactive session on mastering knife skills, part of our cooking series on creating meals with what you have on hand using basic kitchen equipment.
About the Event
In this interactive series, we’ll demonstrate five foundational cooking skills to help answer the most important question of the day: “What’s for dinner?” Using everyday ingredients and basic kitchen tools, you’ll learn to create meals that save time and money while delighting your taste buds.
In Week 2: Knife Skills, chef Sandra Lewis will demonstrate the proper grip, sharpening techniques, cutting motions and how to chop various vegetables and fruits.
Equipment needed:
- Chef knife
- Cutting board
- Knife steel
- Bowls for holding chopped ingredients
