AARP Hearing Center
A peer‑led session to simplify new insurance changes—covering costs, benefits updates, medical‑record transfers, and prescription steps—plus practical tips and Q&A.
New year, new insurance? Starting the year with new coverage can be confusing—especially while juggling your insurance, as well as the person you are caring for. In this peer-led discussion, we will swap practical tips and lived experience while we walk through key “first‑step” checks like out-of-pocket costs (deductibles, copays, coinsurance), new or changing benefits, how to transfer medical records (HIPAA release), and what to know when updating prescriptions or changing pharmacies. We’ll keep it conversational, focused on what works, and leave time for Q&A.
Program disclaimer: The conversation offers general guidance and peer experience; it’s not individualized legal, financial, or medical advice.
