About the Event
AARP Connecticut is collaborating with the CT Department of Aging & Disability Services to present a monthly series aimed at helping professionals at organizations serving a diverse public gain skills to make digital communication accessible to all. The sessions will be led by Dr. Lauren Tucker, an assistant professor at Southern Connecticut State University with expertise in assistive technology, universal design for learning, and technology implementation. The goal is to promote innovative thinking on how you can facilitate in-person, virtual or hybrid offerings.
This session will focus on understanding the different videoconferencing options available to you in addition to ZOOM. Finding the one that works for your population, audience or even your preferences is key to supporting the individual in navigating the digital space. Organizations using a hybrid option to engage more individuals in person while serving others virtually may find the guidance useful as they work to increase social integration. And this will be a great session for those involved in senior center, library and community center programming as well as caregivers.

You will need to register separately for each class you are interested in attending. Please note that you must be signed in to your AARP.org account or create an account to register for events. AARP membership is not required. Please do not opt out of event-related email, as you will be emailed a link to join the session via Zoom prior to the event.
