The third class in our virtual soft chalk pastel series will focus on creating a landscape, including mountains, trees, water and skies.
About the Event
Learn how to use soft chalk pastels in this virtual workshop while connecting to a vibrant, creative community. This is a fast-working medium, and most projects can be completed in just a few hours or less. You will learn different strokes, how to blend and when not to, and how to capture light. We will do florals, landscapes and still life. We will also learn how to preserve and frame your work.
In Session 3: Let’s Start a Landscape Seasons 1, you’ll:
- Learn the basics of landscape drawing and how to create depth in your picture
- Briefly discuss perspective and how to underpaint and get that “glow” in your work
- Develop your composition of mountains, trees, water and beautiful skies
Here is a list of recommended supplies, although you are welcome to join the class if you are unable to obtain them all. This list will also be sent in your confirmation and reminder emails.
