Join AARP Illinois and our friends at the Active Transportation Alliance as we learn about active lifestyles for older adults and focus on the basics of bicycle and pedestrian safety.
This two-part series, leading up to Chicago’s August 31 Bike the Drive event, when DuSable Lake Shore Drive is closed to traffic and open to cyclists, will give you a solid introduction to biking and walking for exercise and for everyday local travel.
This first session will also cover tips on bicycling safely. Part 2 on August 15 will focus on how to stay safe when walking and sharing neighborhood or park space with motorists and cyclists.
