Join volunteers from across the country for a virtual service project designed to ignite a movement of kindness and service in your community!
AARP founder, Ethel Percy Andrus was a person driven by kindness, and had a passion for serving others, especially those who society would tend to ignore. AARP continues to be inspired by her guiding principle “to serve, not to be served.”
On February 25, in honor of Ethel’s commitment to service, and in celebration of Black History Month, Create the Good® is hosting a LIVE event where participants will come together to hear personal stories of kindness, connect with like-minded volunteers, and paint rocks with inspirational messages that can be shared in their own communities!
The Kindness Rocks Project™
Create the Good is collaborating with The Kindness Rocks Project™ which was founded by Megan Murphy in 2015 and has become a viral trend that encourages people to paint rocks with inspiring messages and leave them for others to find and collect. The Project’s mission states that one message, at just the right moment, can change someone’s entire day, outlook, life.
Participants will have the option to join the event in Zoom for a more interactive experience, or view the event LIVE at facebook.com/createthegood. The Zoom link will be provided to registrants 24 hours prior to the event.
