Celebrate Juneteenth with us! Visit the AARP photo booth and discover local resources.

Join us to commemorate the historic day in 1865 when African Americans in Galveston, TX, were joyfully informed of their freedom through General Order #3, years after the Emancipation Proclamation. This year’s theme is “The Journey of Four Families.” In partnership with In Black Ink, we will reveal new exhibit panels on the Rondo Commemorative Plaza that tell the history and genealogical stories of five Rondo families.
